This was painted plein-air at Lake Luke, NC. The colors in the Blue Ridge Mountains are breathtaking, so surprising and pleasant, so soft. You can feel the atmosphere between you and them. The water and it's reflections are soft, playing second fiddle to the focal points. The star of this pieces is the tiny little pavilion. It's bright red roof is a welcome 'pop' of color!
